Counselling is a talking therapy, offering a supportive, confidential, non-judgemental environment to enable you to explore your life and how it impacts you now. It is through this building of a therapeutic relationship that change can occur, or allow you to come to terms with past and present experiences
How does it work?
An initial assessment session gives you the opportunity to discuss your situation, from that we agree how we can best work together and discuss important issues such as confidentiality. Having counselling can at times be challenging however the benefits can be really rewarding.
How long will I need?
Counselling appointments are normally weekly and fifty minutes in length. How many sessions you need is something that will be agreed in the initial session and reviewed during future appointments. Counselling can be short term focused to certain goals or more long term as you work towards more deep seated issues.
